Brewing Methods

☕ Pour Over Method

Best for highlighting bright, complex flavors

Ratio: 1:16 (20g coffee → 320ml water)
Grind: Medium (like sea salt)
Time: 3-4 minutes
  1. Rinse filter with hot water
  2. Add ground coffee and create a well in the center
  3. Bloom: Pour 2x coffee weight in water, wait 30-45 seconds
  4. Pour remaining water in slow, circular motions
  5. Total brew time: 3-4 minutes

🫖 French Press

Best for full-bodied, rich flavor

Ratio: 1:15 (30g coffee → 450ml water)
Grind: Coarse
Time: 4 minutes
  1. Add coarse ground coffee to preheated press
  2. Pour hot water and stir gently
  3. Place lid on top (don't press yet)
  4. Wait 4 minutes
  5. Press plunger slowly and serve immediately

☕ Espresso

Best for concentrated, intense flavor

Dose: 18-20g for double shot
Grind: Fine
Time: 25-30 seconds
Yield: 36-40ml

🔥 Moka Pot

Best for strong, espresso-style coffee

Grind: Medium-fine
Heat: Medium-low
  1. Fill bottom chamber with water to valve level
  2. Add ground coffee to basket (don't tamp)
  3. Assemble and place on medium-low heat
  4. Remove from heat when you hear gurgling
  5. Serve immediately

❄️ Cold Brew

Best for smooth, low-acidity coffee

Ratio: 1:8 (100g coffee → 800ml water)
Grind: Coarse
Time: 12-18 hours
  1. Combine coarse ground coffee and cold water
  2. Stir gently and refrigerate 12-18 hours
  3. Strain through filter
  4. Dilute concentrate 1:1 with water or milk
  5. Serve over ice
